About This Site

This Planning Poker tool exists on a simple principle: estimating a backlog with your team shouldn't require a sign-up form, an email address, or a password. You shouldn't have to create an account just to find out whether your team thinks a story is a 3 or a 13.

No accounts. No sign-up. No personal information.

There is no login here, and there never needs to be. To create a session, just click Create Session and share the link. To join one, click the link and type in whatever name you'd like your teammates to see - that's it. We don't ask for an email address, a password, or any other identifying information, because the tool simply doesn't need one to do its job.

Sessions are lightweight and temporary

A session exists to help a team size a backlog in a single sitting. It isn't building a permanent profile of you or your organisation - it's a scratch pad for a conversation, not a system of record. The name you enter when you join is only ever used to label your vote for the people in that same session.

How the service stays free

Running the site costs money, so it is supported by anonymous, aggregate usage analytics and advertising - the same way many free tools on the web are. Nothing about that advertising or analytics is used to identify who you are, and none of it is tied to the estimates, session names, or display names you enter while using the tool.

Why we think this matters

Agile teams are often small, cross-functional, and made up of people who don't all work for the same company - contractors, consultants, stakeholders from the business side, someone dialing in from a partner organisation. Asking every one of them to create an account just to sit in on a ten-minute estimation session is friction nobody needs. We'd rather you spend that time talking about the work.
